Volcano

Things Required-
  1. 6 cup flour 
  2. 2 cup salt
  3. 4 tea spoon cooking oil
  4. 2 cup of water
  5. Plastic soda bottle
  6. Detergent
  7. Red food coloring
  8. Large tray
  9.  2 Tea spoon baking soda
  10. Vinegar
Procedure-
  1. Mix first 4 ingredients and make a dough. This dough must be smooth and Firm.
  2. Stand the soda bottle on the tray. Mold the dough around the bottle and shape it like a volcano. Leave mouth of  bottle.
  3. Fill 1/3rd of bottle with warm water and add food coloring. Add 6 drop of detergent to the bottles (this helps control bubbles formed during the reaction)
  4. add 2 teaspoon baking soda
  5. now slowly put vinegar in the bottle



Tip- you can decorate the volcano to make it look beautiful in a fair or any other program by painting volcano or giving it a background 

How it works
Baking soda ( sodium bicarbonate ) reacts with vinegar (acetic acid) to form carbon dioxide  this carbon dioxide comes out in form of bubbles and we see a volcanic eruption.

Electrostatic Force Experiment

Definition
electrostatic force refers to the force exerted by a body on other charger or uncharged body.

Things Required

  • 2 plastic straws
  • Thread
  • Sheet of paper
  • Tape
Procedure

  • Tie one end of the thread with the straw 
  • Then using tape hang it at edge of a table.


  • Now rub the other straw with help of paper nicely for 2 minutes
  • Bring it near the hanging straw
Observations
The straw rubbed with paper will attract the hanging straw

* Trick
If you will rub both the  straw a then they will repel each other
